A crochet coaster set pattern - US and UK terms - ENGLISH ONLY

This pattern was designed for the 2024 Crochet Retreat, Australia.
Pattern:
This pattern is written in both UK and US terms and consists of written instructions and a chart to help you along the way.
Skill level:
It is aimed at advanced beginners due to the stitches used. I write my patterns so that all skill levels can understand, so why not give it a go.
Yarn:
Scheepjes Catona (100% Mercerised Cotton, 50g/1.76oz, 125m/136yds)
Colours Used: C1 Old Lace (130); C2 Willow (395); C3 Sage Green (212); C4 Fir (525); C5 Root Beer (157); C6 Silver Green (402).
Other Materials:
3.5mm / size E-4 crochet hook
Scissors
Yarn needle
Stitch Marker
Finished Size:
The coaster measures 14cm across from picot to picot.
One coaster weighs 10grams.
Gauge:
Make Rounds 1 and 2 of the coaster. Piece should measure approximately 4 cm across the longest part. However, gauge is not essential for this project. Just be consistent, don’t change your hook.
