Stylecraft Blogstars' Garden Party
Share
Welcome to my turn to celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee with a Garden Party.
Fellow Stylecraft Blogstars are taking part in this event throughout May, where we share a pattern we designed for this special occasion. Our brief: use pastel colours and think ‘garden party’.

Well, for this Aussie, living so far away from the other Blogstars (Stylecraft is based in the UK for those that do not know) and never ever been to a garden party or really heard of one, it stumped me on what to make at first. Obviously (for those that know me), a mandala was my first idea, but I wanted to do something different and NOT obvious lol.
In the end, I came up with the idea of a mobile. And I’m so glad did. I really love how it turned out.
What’s brilliant about it is that is entirely adaptable to suit what you want. You can make as little or as many of each element as you like.
Throughout the month of May, 50% of the sales will go to the Leukaemia Foundation. So if you’re going to purchase it, please do so this month.

Lucy – Attic24 (Tin Cosies)
Julia Marsh – Hand Knitted Things (Trellis Tea Cosy and bonus pattern)
Catherine Bligh – Catherine’s Crochet Corner (Coaster, Placemat and Jug Cover)
Posy of Dreams

I chose Stylecraft’s fairly new Bamboo Cotton to make this mobile from. The colours compliment each other beautifully.
The pattern comes with written instructions in both US and UK terms and round-by-round photos.

Who’s next?
Emma Varnam is the next Blogstar to reveal her pattern. Make sure you check out what she has to offer too.
Once all Blogstars have released their patterns, I will upload this post with all appropriate links.
In the meantime…
Happy Hooking!
Much love,
Em xxx
